where are my tits????

Hey! Just thought I'd let you know. bit about me! I'm a student studying Contemporary Art ad Illustration at the University of Huddersfield. I am currently on a placement year, after finishing my second year in May, as a way to expand my knowledge and get to know new and exciting people!

I have been conscious about my body for years, with all of it's lumps and bumps that I wished so many times would just go away! The idea of 'Body Positivity' is a huge issue within society nowadays and I believe that it is something that needs to be seriously addressed by everyone as so many people are affected by it on a day-to-day basis.

One of the key issues that I find with it, is that so many people appear to be under the impression that it is a problem that only women have to deal with. Absolutely ridiculous! This is something that has inspired me and driven my work, thus allowing me to expand my practice into an area that I am so keen and passionate about! I am eager to speak to anyone who is struggling with any of these issues, or any others for that matter, as I find that those who are suffering in silence, are the strongest of us all!

My work is designed to be fun and light hearted and consists of a variety of different styles, as I am intent on expressing my views and thoughts in as many way, and the best ways, possible. Most of the work that I do in my sketchbooks are that of small, simplistic illustrations with 'humorous' quotes alongside them, but I do also do a lot of collaging work to showcase my ideas, which I absolutely love doing! Furthermore, more recently I have been interested in the performance side of the art world , and actually created a perforce piece that I exhibited in a local market alongside a washing line of both male and female undergarments as a piece of work that I entitled 'Dirty Underwear'. I was extremely proud of this particular piece and think that it is something that I will definitely do again in the near future.
